CONVERSATIONS Guests Count Emmy Noms!

August 7, 2009

Emmy nominationsThe SAG Foundation congratulates Emmy’s nominees for 2009, with special thanks going to those actors who have generously participated in the Foundation’s national speaker series Conversations over the past year. Featured guests include such current Emmy nominees as the cast of Breaking Bad (including individual nominees Aaron Paul and Bryan Cranston), Dexter‘s Michael C. Hall, The Big Bang Theory’s  Jim Parsons, Mad Men’s John Slattery and Lost’s Michael Emerson. We’re also grateful to have hosted events with Bill Paxton, whose Big Love is nominated for Outstanding Drama Series and Alexander Skarsgard from Generation Kill, a contender for Outstanding Miniseries.

Inviting well-known, working actors to share their experiences with audiences of their peers, Conversations has an impressive track record of drawing guests who have enjoyed subsequent Emmy recognition, in nominations as well as wins. Past seasons have included the casts of Dexter, House, Weeds and The Office, Kyra Sedgwick (The Closer), Holly Hunter (Saving Grace), Julia Louis-Dreyfus (The New Adventures of Old Christine), Neil Patrick Harris (How I Met Your Mother), Rainn Wilson (The Office), Leslie Jordan (Will & Grace), Kristin Chenoweth (Pushing Daisies), Elizabeth Perkins (Weeds) and Tony Shalhoub (Monk).

We wish the best to all of this year’s nominated actors, and look forward to events with many more!
