Reading is Fundamental for Yani Tseng

RANCHO MIRAGE, CALIF. – Yani Tseng, winner of the Kraft Nabisco Championship, kicked off her 2011 LPGA golf season on January 6 by turning a new page.  Tseng, in town to meet with the media and share her plans for the upcoming season, took time out to read with students at Cathedral City Elementary School and Rancho Mirage Elementary School.  The book readings were organized by Tere Britton, coordinator for the Screen Actors Guild Foundation’s BookPALS (Performing Artists for Literacy in Schools) program in the Coachella Valley.

Tseng was also presented with the keys to the city by Rancho Mirage Mayor Richard Kite.  She will defend her title at the 40th anniversary of the Kraft Nabisco Championship, set for March 28-April 3, at Mission Hills Country Club in Rancho Mirage, Calif.
