Celebrities Gathered to Raise Funds and Awareness for the Catastrophic Health Fund and Assistance Programs

June 14, 2012- LOS ANGELES, CA – The Screen Actors Guild Foundation hosted its 3rd Annual Golf Classic, a charity tournament benefiting the Foundation’s Catastrophic Health Fund and Assistance Programs.  The Golf Classic brought together golf enthusiasts from the entertainment industry and beyond to raise funds for the Foundation, which provides vital support to the acting community in times of need. This year’s winning team included Stu Morgan, Dave Olsen, Kiefer Sutherland, Greg Ellis, and Kevin Rahm with a score of 48(-22). Paula Trickey won the Women’s Long Drive Competition, and Brent Brockermeyer took home the prize for the Men’s Long Drive Competition.  The event was hosted by actor Ron Perlman at the Lakeside Golf Club, in Burbank on June 11.

Supporters of the “Actors Fore Actors” tournament included Gabriel Aubry, George Clooney, Andy Garcia, Ken Howard, Christopher McDonald, Breckin Meyer, Joe Pesci, Danny Masterson, Mark-Paul Gosselaar, Dennis Haysbert, Ray Romano, Jim Tasker, and Tim Allen, among many others.

Additional sponsors of this year’s LA Golf Classic include John W.
