On the Passing of Casting Director & SAG Foundation Supporter Dan Velez

The SAG Foundation is saddened to learn of the passing of casting director Dan Velez, a terrific friend and supporter of the SAG Foundation.

Dan generously supported and participated in the Foundation’s free Casting Access program, giving lengthy classes with individual attention to actors. He shared information freely and was an attentive teacher.

Our condolences to Dan’s family, friends, partner and associates.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Dan Velez Scholarship Fund, which has been set up to help young actors pursue their dreams.
