Arizona BookPALS Help in the Community as well as in Schools

February 4, 2015

BookPALS read to eager children while their parents were in class at the Washington Elementary School District’s Parent University.  Parents took advantage of courses offered in money management, healthy eating, helping your kids succeed in school and many more.   Discover Books donated books for all the families to take home.  The books are collected in bins located at Fry’s Food stores. Fry’s also supplied water for everyone. Sunnyslope Kiwanis donated and served hot dogs to all participants. This event was truly a community effort bringing parents, kids, schools, volunteer organizations, and businesses together.  Kudos to the Washington School District organizers.
